A naturopathic, biological preparation for the intestinal mucosa for the dietary management of irritable bowel syndrome, which has been used successfully for over 85 years.

Colibiogen® oral contains a mixture of nutrients from the metabolic products of Escherichia coli (E. coli) strain Laves 1931 (L1931), which is produced in a process under special conditions. It is a food for special medical purposes (FSMP) for the dietary management of irritable bowel syndrome.
Irritable bowel syndrome is characterised by abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, distended abdomen and altered frequency and consistency of stools. This is always accompanied by a disturbance of the natural intestinal flora and mucosa, which affects the normal absorption of nutrients.
Colibiogen® oral supports the balance of the immune system in the intestine and contributes to the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa. In doing so, Colibiogen® oral relies on the power of the fermentation filtrate of E. coli L1931: The metabolic products of E. coli (e.g. glycolipids, peptides, fatty acids and amino acids) are important nutrients for the intestinal cells.
In patients with irritable bowel syndrome with a dysfunction of the intestinal mucosal barrier, a reduced concentration of these metabolic products has been found. The effectiveness of the dietary management with the nutrient complex of the fermentation filtrate of E.coli L1931 has been proven by studies.
Colibiogen® oral is suitable for all forms of irritable bowel syndrome (diarrhoea/ constipation).

Ingredients: Cell-free fermentation filtrate from Escherichia coli strain Laves 1931, water, ethanol, sucrose, sodium benzoate, orange flavour, citric acid.
Note: Colibiogen® oral contains 4.8 vol.-% alcohol.
One teaspoon (= 5 ml) per day in the morning, ½ hour before the meal. In case of severe symptoms, one teaspoon can be taken up to three times daily, ½ hour before meal intake.
Always use a clean teaspoon and do not drink from the bottle. Close the bottle tightly after taking.
